Dillian Whyte’s next move has caused much speculation as to what the Brixton slugger will decide to do next.
He is coming off arguably the finest performance of his career after obliterating former world heavyweight titleholder, Lucas Browne with a brutal one-punch knockout on March 24th.
Following that fight, Whyte cemented his position as the number one contender to WBC world heavyweight champion, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder.
Come on Sasha @APovetkin@EddieHearn@HBOboxing@SkySportsBoxing stop wavering you said you'd fight me last week why the u turn ?
I'm No1 with the @WBCBoxing but I’m still happy to fight you #COWARD— Dillian Whyte (@DillianWhyte) April 6, 2018
It was also put forth following that conclusive victory over Lucas Browne, that he can take on the former mandatory contender to Anthony Joshua, Kubrat Pulev in a final eliminator for a shot at the IBF title.
Following Povetkin’s brutal dispatching of David Price on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s world heavyweight title fight against Joseph Parker, Whyte was very vocal in his efforts to call out the Russian following that victory.
“Everything is up in air at the minute. There’s so much options and there’s lots of things going on,” Whyte told Sky Sports.
Analysing all the possible options that are on the table, Whyte included several potential high-profile adversaries as options.
“The options are Deontay Wilder, a rematch with Anthony Joshua, possibly fighting Kubrat Pulev for a final eliminator and then I become (the) mandatory challenger for Joshua, or maybe a voluntary fight.”
“The WBC want me to probably fight a final eliminator against someone, which we don’t know yet.”
Whyte is open to locking horns with either Povetkin or Pulev but says he would prefer to take on the concussive punching Russian.
When I was younger I didn’t understand my rage now with time and age I understand it and use it in a positive way now am in touching distance of a world tittle and these fighters wanna be silly and play ducking games with me but they can’t duck me for ever #TEAMBODYSNACTHERpic.twitter.com/Dy800mPsAX

“We’re trying to get them to enforce the mandatory and the WBA has come out a few days ago and said they want me to fight for their regular WBA world title.”
Dillian Whyte also rubbished claims that Povetkin could be next in line for a lucrative payday against Anthony Joshua.
Despite being recently instilled as the mandatory contender to Joshua’s WBA title.
Whyte believes that his efforts to force himself into contention next will ultimately prove fruitless.
“Povetkin stands no chance of enforcing that fight at this minute, so I do think he should let me and him fight in a final eliminator.”
Whyte also detailed his altercation with the Russian following his victory over David Price.
“I went after him and called him out straight away after his devastating knockout of David Price.”
“I spoke to his promoter and I spoke to him. He could understand me, I was making the hand gestures, and he said ‘yes, yes, I’ll fight you next,'” Whyte said.
Whyte also offered his estimations of the challenge the Bulgarian, Kubrat Pulev will pose.
“He’s a good fighter, a former Olympic gold medallist, a former world champion.
“He’s only lost to Wladimir Klitschko. So that’s a very, very attractive fight. A very, very good fight.”
“That fight will get the public’s juices flowing. Get everyone going crazy.”
I'D WELCOME IT! @DillianWhyte open to @KubratPulev or Povetkin if it guarantees a world title shot https://t.co/iBTUuU8CE6pic.twitter.com/KpX6RUrCdG

Lastly, ‘The Body Snatcher’ once again stressed that his preference is to take on Alexander Povetkin.
“Pulev is also a good fight as well. If I had a chance I would pick Povetkin. But if Pulev wants it, he can have it.”
