Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has gunned for rival firm Boxxer once again, after another one of their fighters pulled out of a purse bid for a title match-up with a member of his stable.
Boxxer, Ben Shalom and Frazer Clarke were heavily criticised for pulling out of a purse bid last year, after being ordered to fight Fabio Wardley for the British heavyweight title, a bout that proved to be an absolute barnstormer when they finally met.
Since then, Boxxer have also pulled out of purse bids for three further title fights – Richard Riakporhe vs. Jai Opetaia, Adam Azim vs. Dalton Smith and Caroline Dubois vs. Beatriz Ferreira.
On social media, Hearn has now revealed that Isaac Chamberlain has vacated his British title and pulled out of purse bids for a proposed fight with Chev Clarke on the day that bids were to be lodged.
“After it was ordered two months ago, today the day had finally come for the @IChamberlain_ vs. @C4CHEV purse bid. The team drove down to Cardiff to bid in what would have been by far the biggest purses of their career. Instead, IC team chose to vacate just an hour before the bid. 5th π¦ in a row. π©”
In response, Chamberlain fired back and claimed that he was moving on to bigger things, triggering an instant response from Hearn.

IC: βCry some more, Iβm going for bigger things, we ainβt dancing to your tune you silver spoon baby.β
EH: βYou are clueless.β
Despite expectations that ‘bigger things’ would mean a grudge match with Viddal Riley, Chamberlain will instead target the EBU European title, currently held by former world title challenger, Michael Cieslak.
