After years of what seemed like hopeless negotiations, Errol Spence Jr (28-0) is set to face Terence Crawford (39-0) for the undisputed welterweight title.
The unified champion and physically stronger man, Spence, will enter the ring as the bookies’ slight underdog after a fifteen-month lay-off, coupled with signs that he may have been hurt in his last outing against Yordenis Ugas.
Meanwhile, ‘Bud’ Crawford is a three-division champion and has adjusted to life as a welterweight in impressive fashion, knocking out all seven of his opponents at 147lbs.
The bout is expected to be a nip-and-tuck affair, as the American duo stake their respective claims to become the division’s first ever four-belt champion and, in the eyes of many, the best fighter in the world.
The much-anticipated clash is at long last upon us. You can find details for Saturday’s spectacle at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas below.
