“Ward’s pound-for-pound number one. I think taking Mayweather out, he’s [Ward] the hardest fighter to beat in world boxing. Is he the most entertaining? Not in a million years. Is he the best? How do you define the best? Do you define it as in hard to beat? I rate Lomachenko so highly but I think Ward is just so hard to beat,” said the promoter.
But even though Ward is an interesting fight, the people want to see the rematch.
“He’s gone super middle and up to light heavy and beat the very best up there. He could probably go to cruiser and he probably will. But I said to Tony and David [Haye], the fight that people wanna see is the rematch,” said Hearn.
