Despite the fact that Tyson Fury has been actively calling out Anthony Joshua on social media, he still has a long way to go until fight night.
This past weekend Fury made his public appearance in a while and revealed that he needs to lose at least eight stone. He said he’s never been this big in his entire life.
But that’s not all. Apart from the massive weight cut, ‘The Gypsy King’ also needs to get his actual boxing license back. And the powers that be aren’t really helping out.
The British Boxing Board of Control has not yet given a date for Fury’s hearing. General Secretary of The BBBoC Robert Smith has said that the original meeting was postponed.
“It was adjourned and they need a new date. All these legal cases take time and obviously it’s a matter of now getting all the parties together, and obviously, they are dealing with legal representatives, barristers etc and it’s difficult to get dates. It’s quite common,” he told in an interview with Sky Sports.
At this point, it’s hard to tell what will happen to Fury as his boxing future remains obscure.
