Boxer turned Love Island star Tommy Fury has taken to social media to announce a November return to the ring.
The announcement consisted of a short video posted to his 185,000 Twitter followers with the caption, ‘It’s on’. Fury’s promoter and broadcaster, Frank Warren and BT Sport, were also tagged in the video.
“I am delighted to come on here and inform you all that I will be fighting back in the ring in November,” said Fury, 21, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson.
“It’s been a very long road as you all know and I’m feeling fit. I’m in the best condition I have ever been in my entire life, and I’m ready to fight.”
Light-heavyweight Fury (3-0, 2 KOs) followed in the footsteps of his famous brother by turning pro in December 2018 on the Josh Warrington vs Carl Frampton undercard.
His popularity sky-rocketed in the summer of 2019 when he took part in ITV’s reality show Love Island, where he finished runner-up with girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
The November date will be Fury’s first outing since December 2019 when he blasted out Przemyslaw Binienda in 62 seconds at the Copper Box Arena in London.
