One popular British heavyweight thinks that KSI is going to knock out Tommy Fury when the pair come to blows this weekend, saying the influencer fighter is ready to ‘die’ in the ring.
Content creator come fighter Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, aka KSI, has beaten all of his opponents so far, though none of them have been professional boxers.
Fury – half-brother of current WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson – represents by far his biggest challenge having had nine professional fights including one standout win over KSI rival, Jake Paul.
Speaking to Eze Talks Sports, former heavyweight title challenger Derek Chisora was asked how he sees the fight going.
“JJ’s gonna knock Tommy Fury out, you watch, mark my words.”
Chisora was then asked to explain why he thought that given that Fury has been boxing much of his life.
“Cause JJ wants it. He wants to go in there and die.”
It was suggested that the greater boxing experience of Fury surely makes him a favourite.
“You know what? We’re not gonna look at that. I see JJ train and the way he wants to fight, I don’t think Tommy Fury is doing what JJ does.”
Chisora’s words back up what KSI himself has said about his training camp mentality, something he thinks would give him a shot against greats like Dmitry Bivol and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez – labelled by Fury as ‘utter b******t.’
The fight will be shown this weekend on DAZN pay-per-view.
