John Fury has demanded KSI pay him £200,000 over an alleged bet they made prior to his fight against his son, Tommy, last weekend.
The reality of KSI vs Tommy Fury didn’t live up to the pre-fight hype and both men have since come in for strong criticism for a lacklustre showing that consisted mainly of holding.
Fury walked away on the night with a majority decision, a result which was subsequently changed to a unanimous points victory due to a scorecard error, but perhaps his reputation as the ‘pro boxer’ suffered the most.
Although never mentioned publicly before the bout, Fury Sr is now claiming he had a large bet with KSI on the outcome last Saturday – and wants paying.
“Just a quick video for KSI. You owe me £200,000. We had a bet and I want paying. Now, don’t be like the other fella, Jake Paul, be a man and pay your bets. You had a bet live on a podcast – we’ve got all the evidence there, we’ll put it all together.
You owe me, John Fury, £200,000 and I want paying. Thank you very much.”
This isn’t the first time John is chasing a bet from a YouTuber-turned-boxer. After his son beat Jake Paul in February he demanded ‘The Problem Child’ pay him $2million for ‘all or nothing’ wager made at the press conference.
No contract was ever signed and the head of the Fury family eventually relented and settled his differences with the brash American.
