John Fury Names Who He Wants To Fight – And It’s No Longer Carl Froch

John Fury is never too far away from the headlines and now he has named another man he would like to fight.

Fury is an ardent backer of his two fighting sons Tommy and Tyson Fury. He’s always there with them at press conferences and has been known to be irate up on stage by throwing his weight around.

After plenty of back and forth with Carl Froch earlier this year the pair ended up talking about fighting each other in front of thousands of fans at Wembley Stadium.

That one never materialised and now as Tyson’s next fight fast approaches on May 17 against Oleksandr Usyk, ‘Big John’ has once again called out the name of a former heavyweight legend.

Speaking to Free Bets, he said the only man who would bring enough money to the table for a fight is Mike Tyson.

“The only people I’m looking at to be fair who can afford me and bring the numbers I’m looking at is Mike Tyson.

“I’m not cheaper, cause for me to climb back in the ring with any of these men, it’s in the Ms, not the Ts, and I don’t think they can put it up. I’ve had two bets with so-called multi-millionaires and both of them have welched. Imagine if I did that?”

Whether Mike Tyson, who made plenty of money in the ring and is now a successful businessman with his own cannabis brand in the United States, would be interested in a fight with the father of the WBC and lineal heavyweight champion is another question.
