The debate over who has more power between Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Smith is one that has been hotly contested since the pair were announced to fight 8 weeks ago.
There is perhaps no one better placed to judge than Liam Williams, who has shared the ring with both men.
And, unfortunately for Smith, the Welshman picked Eubank Jr with no uncertainty in a recent feature by Sky Sports.
The fiery build up will come to a conclusion in a matter of days, with the two set to do battle at the AO Arena in Manchester this Saturday night.
The boxing world is seemingly split down the middle on the fight, however Eubank Jr is a marginal favourite with the bookmakers.
The contest will take place at ‘Next Gen’s natural home of middleweight, whilst Smith will move up a weight class from super welterweight for the first time in his fourteen year professional career.
There has been some extremely varied and entertaining trash talk between Eubank and Smith in recent weeks. From insulting hairlines to exposing Instagram messages, the two fighters have seemingly tried everything to get under the other’s skin.
Both men are now entering their mid thirties, and it is therefore tough to imagine a realistic route back to world title contention for the loser this weekend.
A rematch clause is in place for Eubank should the Liverpudlian get the better of him, however no such luxury has been afford to Smith, who knows he will only get one shot at toppling his hubristic foe.
The contest is Sky Sports first pay per view offering of 2023, and is available to purchase at £19.95.
