The bumper undercard for Michael Conlan’s return to Falls Park in Belfast has had two more Irish names added to it.
Padraig McCroy and Sean McComb will join Tyrone McKenna and Scotland’s Lee McGregor on August 6 as part of an entertaining supporting cast to Michael Conlan’s all-Irish clash with TJ Doheny.
McCrory, unbeaten in 11 starts, faces Russia’s Sergei Gorokhov for the WBC International super-middleweight title while McComb faces Welshman Craig Woodruff.
“WBC International belt coming to Belfast 100%. Can’t wait for this! Fans back in numbers,” said an elated McCrory.
The Belfast 168 pounder will be fighting for his second title having defeated Steve Collins Jr for the vacant Irish super-middleweight strap in 2019.
For McComb it is a chance to get back to winning ways after losing his unbeaten record to Gavin Gwynne in February. The vacant Commonwealth lightweight title fight proved to be Gwynne’s greatest night as a pro stopping the highly touted McComb in the 7th round.
“Can’t thank my team enough for the opportunity, pushing to get me on a world class platform,” said McComb.
“SeanyMac 2.0 incoming…”
