After a recent award success Hamzah Sheeraz will look to maintain the feel-good factor when he fights on July 16.
The 23-year-old recently won the Boxing Writers’ Club Young Boxer of the Year and now can look forward to facing Francisco Emanuel Torres on the Queensbury Promotions bill. The 32-year-old Argentinian picked up a draw in his last fight against former Terence Crawford opponent Jose Benavidez Jr.
The fight will represent the first defence of Sheeraz WBC International bauble in his new weight class at 160lbs.
Two domestic clashes provide able support on the night at London’s Copper Box Arena. Lennox Clarke will defend his British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles against two-time Lonsdale challenger Mark Heffron. And at featherweight Nick Ball will look to increase his growing reputation when he takes on divisional dark horse Nathaniel Collins for the vacant Lonsdale belt.
