Claressa Shields is a talker, there’s no doubt, and in her press conference with Savannah Marshall she did so much of it that she was even speaking for her opponent.
In amongst a relatively hostile build up, Shields left Marshall, trainer Peter Fury and the UK media all laughing with her impersonation. The moment was captured by BOXXER and has been well-received on social media
Add an epic English @Savmarshall1 impression to the list of @Claressashields talents 😂 👏#ShieldsMarshall | 10 Sept | O2 Arena, London | @SkySportsBoxing | @SalitaProm@HennessySportspic.twitter.com/fddrGAJxii

It was a light hearted moment in an otherwise serious contest. Much has been made of Marshall beating Shields in the amateurs and what it means for this 50/50 clash. The American champion and self-proclaimed G.W.O.A.T (Greatest Woman Of All Time) rubbishes claims that she can’t handle the Brit’s power.
The fight, which was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, has been rescheduled for October 15. It’s remains an all-female event, with Shields and Marshall topping the bill for the undisputed world middleweight championship. Co-main will see Mikaela Mayer, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine champion, facing Alycia Baumgardner in a super-featherweight title unification.
The magnitude of the fight is being talked up by promoter, Ben Shalom, who recently told Sky Sports that a megastar will be born on October 15.
“Whoever wins this fight is, I think, going to be the biggest name in the female sport. It’s going to have that many eyeballs on it, it’s that important.”
All tickets purchased for the previous date are valid for this rescheduling, and some seats are still available. Fans tuning in from home can watch all the action on Sky Sports.
