Keyshawn Davis wasted no time in taunting Teofimo Lopez after an underwhelming performance and controversial win over Jamaine Ortiz.
Lopez returned to the ring last night for the first time since his June 2023 win over Josh Taylor, but couldn’t reach the heights of that performance against an elusive and well-drilled Ortiz.
In fact, many fighters and pundits feel the champion lost the forgettable twelve-round affair despite winning a wide unanimous decision on the cards.
Davis fought on the undercard and left no doubt against Jose Pedraza, becoming just the second man to stop the Puerto Rican after Gervonta Davis. Following that sixth round stoppage, ‘The Businessman’ got comfortable at ringside to watch the main event.
After the decision was announced, Lopez waved his belts at Davis, whom he had a low-key run-in with at this week’s press conference, and told him to shut up. “I’m not scared of that s**t, boy. I come take that s**t,” replied Davis.

Davis is continuing to build his record in the lightweight division, the weight class Lopez left back in 2021. The seed though is planted for a future bout should he decide to move up and join the 140 ranks in the future.
