Tommy Fury is riding high after back-to-back wins against the biggest names in YouTube boxing.
‘TNT’ defeated Jake Paul by split decision in February in Saudi Arabia and then beat KSI in London earlier this month.
Both contests were close and a rematch against either man has been touted as a possible next fight for the brother of WBC Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury.
However, one of the all time greats of the sport has suggested he takes on the 24-year-old on the undercard of a potential fight between Mike Tyson and Tommy’s father, ‘Big John’.
Speaking to Boxing King Media, former four-weight world champion, Roy Jones Jr, approached Fury with the idea.
“I say you know what if Mike Tyson and John Fury fought then why not me and Tommy Fury fight as the co-main event. Me and Tommy Fury fight as the co main and then Tyson and John fight the main event, that would be out of this world. that would be crazy on the same night.
Your father fight Mike and me and you do it as the co-main event.”
The young Brit seems more than keen to make it happen, saying it would be ‘an honor’ to get in the ring with Jones.
“Let’s do it! Let’s do it! Honestly we’ll arrange it, 100%. We’ll do it at 200lbs. It would be an honour, if we can get it set up we’ll get it done definitely.”
The 54-year-old is coming off a defeat to former UFC fighter Anthony Pettis in April having not had a professional fight for over five years prior.
