Tyson Fury’s comeback is becoming a reality even more since Robert Smith, the Chairman of the British Boxing Board of Control, confirmed they are willing to let Fury fight in 2018.
“Of course we want it done. We are as frustrated as anybody else, because I get questions about Fury on a regular basis, but ultimately it is up to them. We are ready to go, UKAD are ready to go on our behalf, and the independent panel are waiting for a confirmed date,” said Smith in an interview with Sky Sports.

Lately, Fury has been active on social media and posting updates about his comeback and promising to fight both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
Fury famously exchanged serious fighting words with Wilder a few years ago in the ring.
In his latest Instagram video, Fury says that he will keep his promise and fight the current WBC World heavyweight champion.
“Guess who is back. The one and only. Shoutout to the Bronze Bomber, Deontay Wilder for giving me the motivation and saying I can’t do it and I’m finished. I’m coming back for you baby. I’m coming back for you. I’m gonna fill up that promise I made to you a few years ago. You what I’m talking about.
The lineal champion then went after Joshua in his video, calling him stiff and making fun of Joshua because of his struggles against Carlos Takam in their fight in Cardiff.
“And I’m back for the big stiff man. The man struggling with a midget. Struggling with a midget! I’ll obliterate you boy!” shouted Fury.

In a recent interview with Boxing Social, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren said ‘The Gypsy King’s’ situation with UKAD and BBBoC might be put to bed in January 2018. After that, he would like Fury to have a couple of tune-up fights and then fight Joshua.
“He has to get his license back and that will depend on what happens in January. I think Tyson needs to get a couple of fights under his belt. Get the ring rust out and be ready to go,” told Warren to Boxing Social.
So far it’s looking like 2018 will be a busy year for heavyweight boxing with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Joseph Parker, and Tyson Fury colliding one way or another.
