Tyson Fury made an appearance at Matchroom’s Monte Carlo event’s weigh ins this afternoon and the big man seemed to be in good spirits.
Although he still looked massive as he gave a hug to fellow boxer Dereck Chisora before his fight against Agit Kabayel for the European Heavyweight title. Chisora and Fury famously had many heated verbal battles before their two fights which occurred in 2011 and in 2014.

“Me and Derek are cool but I’m after a weightlifter, a certain weightlifter, who can bench press half a ton and deadlift half a ton but he ain’t seen speed like this,” said Fury in an interview with IFL.tv obviously referring to Anthony Joshua.
The former heavyweight champion then talked about his current weigh cut not being a problem at all. In fact, he’s done it many times before.
“I’ve done it about eight or nine times before. With Klitschko, I was 25 stone and now I’m 25 stone. I was 27 but I’ve lost two. Quit drinking for a few days,” smiled Fury.

The big question surrounding Fury is the situation with his license and the final hearing with UK Anti-Doping. The man himself had very little to say about all of it.
“I don’t know much about it, to be honest. I’m just a dumb boxer,” joked Fury.
Fury told exclusively to Sky Sports that he is targeting a summer return against Joshua.
“I think next summer is ideal and realistic. I’m not going to do it in February or March, because obviously I’m not in shape. But I’ll be back in shape by the time March, April comes around. Back ripped, looking sexy as ever. A couple of sun beds, a haircut and a shave, I’ll be back to my old self,” told Fury
According to ‘The Gypsy King’ there was a method to his madness. He wanted to be the most controversial world champion ever.
“Last time, I done a lot of stuff, and I had a lot of things that I wanted to achieve. I wanted to be most charismatic, most controversial champion, maybe of all time. I said a lot of stuff that I didn’t really mean in the past and it got me in a lot of hot water,” explained Fury.

He’s being serious and he’s definitely talking the right talk. All that’s left is the walk.
