Tyson Fury Names The Future Of The Heavyweight Division

Tyson Fury is in camp ahead of the biggest fight of his career but has taken a moment to name who he thinks is the future of the heavyweight division.

Fury’s next outing is abasing Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 out in Saudi Arabia. It is a historic contest and first undisputed fight for 25 years with all four major world titles on the line.

Both men are now deep in camp after a cut sustained but the ‘Gypsy King’ delayed the original February fight date, and the winner will rightly be able to claim they are the very best of this era.

However, Fury has now been on social media and hyping up a young fighter he thinks could go all the way to the top. A post on X by captured Fury’s comments on Instagram.

“Tyson Fury on Instagram today: “Moses Itauma is the future of the heavyweight division.”

Itauma is a hotly-tipped prospect who is aiming to become the youngest-ever world champion which would mean he would’ve to beat Mike Tyson’s ing standing record.

He is a southpaw who hails from Kent and a three-time European amateur champion. He has been sparring the top-level fighters since he was just 15 years old and has recently been in camp with and impressed Fury.

He is signed to Queensberry who are keen to help him on the way to Tyson’s record which saw him become world champion aged just 20 years, four months and 22 days old.

He is currently 7-0 and will next fight on the undercard of the undisputed fight against an opponent yet to be announced.
