Tyson Fury is in no mood to entertain questions about his fight with Derek Chisora, and whether it’s a suitable match up for a heavyweight champion with his credentials.
Fury faces Chisora for the third time in their lengthy careers this December at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Many in the sport have groaned at the contest, believing that the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World should be targeting fresh challenges and not someone he has beaten twice already. Pair that with the fact that it seems a long awaited fight with Anthony Joshua was close, and a lot of fans aren’t happy.
Doing the media round to promote the event, the heavyweight great ended up on True Geordie’s show. The well-known media personality gave his opinion on the Chisora bout, telling Tyson that he’d like to see him face the best of his era before he hands up the gloves. ‘The Gypsy King was having none of it.
“No matter what you say, or what people like you want to say about Derek Chisora, he’s achieved more in boxing and in fighting than ten men like you could ever achieve. So I’m not going to just let you sit here and slate somebody who’s fought the best fighters of this era just because he’s lost a few fights.”
“It is what it is. I’ll be fighting Chisora … and if you don’t want to watch it then please don’t, and it you do, tune in. And if you don’t want to buy a ticket, don’t buy a ticket. And if you do, be like the rest of the 50 odd, 60 odd thousand that’s already bought tickets.”
“I can’t let you, who’s probably never had a fight in your life, run Chisora down who’s fought everybody. I cannot let that happen.”
Despite the stern warning, True Geordie persisted, taking up the role of many fans who have an issue with the match making. Because of that, it seems the interview was ended more abruptly than planned. Fury made sure to have the last word, or ten, as he tried and failed to end the video call.
“I think you’re a tosser. You little tosspot. And I won’t be doing anymore interviews with you little tosspot, bearded, bald-headed tosser. Kiss my balls, you little w**ker. You little sh*thouse. Suck a d*ck.”

‘The Gypsy King’s wandering finger managed to finally end the call, and an interview that he seemed frustrated with from the very beginning. As for the Chisora fight, fans now know his stance – tune in or look away, but don’t bother asking him about the thinking behind the matchmaking.
