Tyson Fury to walk Joseph Parker to the ring? Anthony Joshua welcomes that possibility

The WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua (20-0) will look to unify his titles against WBO-world heavyweight titleholder, Joseph Parker (24-0).

They will clash at The Principality Stadium on March 31st. That will be Joshua’s second consecutive appearance at the venue following a routine title defence against Carlos Takam at the end of October.

The New Zealander has now claimed following coming face to face with his March 31st opponent for the first time yesterday.

“I might give him a text and say, ‘Bro, do you want to walk in with me?’, ” Parker told London’s Daily Mail.

“He may just walk in with me or he may just sit in the front row and watch the fight.

“But I know I have a lot of support from Tyson, which is awesome.”

Joshua has no problem with Parker’s idea – and actually embraces that possibility because it’s only going to add more juice to their event.

“It’s good. It brings attention to the sport,” Joshua told Sky Sports News about Fury attending his unification clash against Parker.

“It will be interesting because I am sure Fury will try and do a little tag-team and do a few rounds for him. He’s just got that in his locker.”

“No matter what he says outwardly, he has a lot of underlying respect for me and that’s just as a far as I know but I just take it with a pinch of salt. I don’t take anything from him to heart and if he wants he is welcome to walk to the ring,” Joshua added.
