Usyk Predicts Both Joshua vs Wallin And Wilder vs Parker: “It’s A 50/50 Fight”

Oleksandr Usyk has made his predictions ahead of the expected Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder vs Jospeh Parker fights.

It’s reported that these two interesting heavyweight match-ups are to go ahead on the same night in Saudi Arabia on December 23.

For Joshua, it will be a chance to continue his rebuild towards world title contention and put in a better showing against Otto Wallin than Tyson Fury managed when he took a narrow points win after a big scare that saw him suffer a bad cut back in September 2019.

Since then, the Swedish heavyweight has won six in a row including a points win over former unified cruiserweight king Murat Gassiev two months ago.

Wilder meanwhile has not fought in over a year since a first-round knockout over Robert Helenius. He has long been linked to fights with Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr but now seems likely to face former WBO champion Joe Parker. Most recently, the New Zealander beat Derek Chisora twice before a loss to Joe Joyce, but has bounced back with three wins.

Speaking to ESNews, Usyk was first asked about the fight between Wilder and Parker.

“Wilder knockout.”

Usyk was then asked about Joshua-Wallin, to which he initially picked his former foe ‘AJ’ to win but then made a gesture to say that the fight was maybe a 50/50 contest.

It’s been suggested that the same stacked card is also set to feature Daniel Dubois, Jarrell Miller, Dmitry Bivol and Jai Opetaia.

Usyk himself is keen to get back into the ring and fight for the undisputed title against Tyson Fury, which is now set to happen on February 17.
