The fight for the undisputed crown of heavyweight boxing will take place in September or October according to Deontay Wilder.
In a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, the WBC World heavyweight champion revealed interesting details regarding current negotiations that hopefully land him a title shot against the WBA, WBO, IBF & IBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.
“If we have it [the fight] in England, it’ll be September but if it’s here in America then it’ll be November,” said Wilder.
There have been concerns among fans and media that the biggest fight in world heavyweight boxing might not come to fruition due to high demands from both sides but Wilder assures that ‘it will happen.’
“We’re still in negotiations so I don’t have a time frame on it just yet but I want to let everybody to know the fight will happen,” told the WBC heavyweight champion.
Recently promoter Eddie Hearn commented on Joshua’s strong desire to fight Wilder only on UK soil as he and ‘AJ’ feel such a fight is owed to the British boxing fans.

“AJ will have to take a pay cut to fight in the UK and I don’t think he’s that bothered.” said Hearn to Telegraph Sport.
“At the moment we’re all still talking and communication continues. But there is a feeling from our camp this undisputed fight should be in the U.K.”
“AJ genuinely loves fighting in the UK. He knows there has never been an undisputed fight before, he was the first unification fight in Britain in the heavyweight division.” continued Hearn.
“So to do an undisputed heavyweight unification fight in the UK, would be historic. But whether Wilder’s team feel the same, like I said, those talks are ongoing,” he concluded.
