Keyshawn Davis sends Nahir Albright warning ahead of rematch: “This is going to be another stop”

Keyshawn Davis has made a bold prediction ahead of his rematch with Nahir Albright, insisting he expects another stoppage victory when they meet this weekend.

Davis and Albright are set to clash in a 12-round super lightweight rematch on Saturday at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The fight takes place in Davis’ hometown and comes with far more tension attached than their first meeting.

The pair initially fought in October 2023, when Davis earned a narrow majority decision. However, the result was later changed to a no-contest after Davis tested positive for a banned substance.

Since then, tensions have only continued growing between the two camps.

The rivalry intensified further after Albright defeated Davis’ older brother, Kelvin Davis, which later led to a heated backstage altercation involving both teams.

In the final press conference, Davis explained how the rematch eventually came together and credited Albright’s recent performances.

“We’re here because Nahir did a great job against Frank Martin,” Davis said. “His people kept calling my people, and we picked up his phone call. That’s why we’re here.”

Davis also said he is embracing the opportunity to fight under the spotlight once again.

“I’m happy,” he said. “I have a great opportunity to perform under these bright lights.”

‘The Businessman’ also pointed to his recent form and made a strong prediction.

“I’ve stopped my last three opponents that I’ve fought and this is going to be another stop.”

Davis dismisses 2023 fight and predicts knockout

Davis appeared uninterested in revisiting discussions surrounding their original meeting and brushed off suggestions that Albright exposed weaknesses during the first fight.

“It’s 2026. That doesn’t matter,” Davis said. “I had a win over him and they decided to take it back.”

The American then doubled down on his prediction.

“I’m going to knock him out in 2026.”

Despite the growing bad blood surrounding the rivalry, Davis insisted he is approaching the contest as business.

“We are here to sign contracts and fight, and that’s exactly what we did,” Davis said. “It’s not personal, but I’m going to knock him out.”

Meanwhile, Albright has also shown confidence and has confidently asserted that the result of the first fight doesn’t matter, and that at 140 pounds, he is much better and confident to hand Davis a defeat. He also expressed his feelings, saying this fight is 50% personal and 50% business for him.

With tensions already high and both men exchanging warnings throughout fight week, Saturday’s rematch appears set to deliver another heated chapter in their rivalry.
