Tyson Fury won’t be applying for a new boxing license in the UK but his suspension has been lifted
The former heavyweight champion confirmed this on Twitter. Fury has been sitting on sidelines for two years after his fight against Wladimir Klitschko. He lost his license after admitting using cocaine and testing positive for a banned substance.
Earlier this year he announced his retirement from boxing but Fury has since insisted that a comeback is on the way. Though that comeback will not be happening in the UK.
After thinking long & hard about my return I will not be applying for aBBBOCboxinglicense. After they way they have handled stuff. No thanks

If the comeback does eventually happen, Fury has one fighter waiting for him.
Shannon Briggs has been actively calling him out of social media in hopes of landing a big-time fight. Fury also responded to ‘The Cannon’.
@TheCannonBriggs I'm gonna give you the best whooping ever,it'll be like a ❤️Making beating. Long & slow with lots of time to play.

Briggs has suggested that the fight should be held at the Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands. Both fighters have verbally agreed to a fight but alongside Briggs, there is obviously still interest in a possible Joshua-Fury clash though at this point that fight is miles away.
