Conor Benn Drops Huge Hint On Next Opponent – But It’s Not Manny Pacquiao

Conor Benn continues to fight to get back to regular action despite his ongoing tribulations with the British Boxing Board of Control and has now dropped a huge hint on his next opponent but rather surprisingly it is not Manny Pacquiao.

Benn was hoping to have his name cleared and to have been given the green light to resume his career on these shores on a British licence but those hopes were dashed when his latest hearing didn’t go the way he wanted.

His last and only two fights since being banned for failing two tests in the lead-up to his ill-fated contest with Chris Eubank Jr in October 2022 have been out in the United States.

Now, in a new post on X which captures an Instagram story from Benn, a mock fight poster suggests he could be facing Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.

Ennis is a 26-year-old American boxer who has held the IBF welterweight title since 2023 when he was promoted to full champion after Terrence Crawford was stripped of that belt due to a rematch clause with Errol Spence Jr rather than fight the young contender.

That rematch has still not materialised and Crawford and Ennis continue to be linked to a fight of their own but as of yet it has not happened.

Ennis is arguably one of the best in the 147lb division and as of yet Benn has got a long way to go to prove he is up there on a similar level having fought no one of real note in and around the weight.
