Almost one year after he disapproved following a failed drug test, Dillian Whyte has teased that he may return.
Whyte has been a popular part of the heavyweight for several years. The British fighter took on any and all challenges and was always in entertaining fights. He stepped up to challenge for a world title against Tyson Fury but got knocked out at London’s Wembley Stadium.
He holds wins over names like Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora but has also lost to the likes of Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin, although he avenged that loss. It was in the days leading to a rematch with Joshua that news emerged he failed a drug test.
Robert Helenius stepped in as a last-minute replacement and was duly dispatched of by Joshua while Whyte disappeared and was not heard from again, although his coach Buddy McGirt gave an update back in January saying he would be back at some point.
Now the slugger known as The Body Snatcher has collaborated on a new video posted on Instagram that shows him getting back in shape and hitting the heavy bag with mean intentions.
The caption reads: “The Body Snatcher is Back. Coming Soon… #WhatAreYouCapableOf”
Whyte used to fight often under the Matchroom banner on Sky Sports and later DAZN but as of yet there is no word of when, against who or where he might make his return. This is the third time Whyte has been involved in a drug testing saga.
