Ryan Garcia is regarded as one of the biggest names in boxing, and he has now revealed exactly how much he has made in his career so far.
‘King Ry’ made his debut in 2016 and quickly become one of the must-see attractions in the ring, but fell short when he stepped up against Gervonta Davis in April last year after a vicious body shot in the seventh round resulted in his first defeat as a professional.
The American has an enormous reach through social media as, with over ten million Instagram followers before even winning a world title, he has already become a global sensation.
In his next assignment, Garcia will face his old amateur foe Devin Haney for the WBC world super lightweight title at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on April 20.
‘King Ry’ has been discussing how much money he will have made in boxing following that bout, revealing the staggering amount during an interview with Jack Alter.
“At 25 I’ll already going to have made after this fight between 80-100 million dollars. If you’ve made that at 25 who’s losing?”
Garcia’s bout with Haney sees him reignite a feud with an old rival, having met multiple times during the amateurs. The score is currently level between the two men at three apiece, but as a professional, undefeated champion Haney has been almost flawless.
He became undisputed at lightweight with two dominant performances against George Kambosos Jr, and then, following a defence of his titles against Vasyl Lomachenko, Haney defeated Regis Prograis to become a two-weight world champion in December.
